Shropshire D-Star
The Shropshire D-Star Repeater was formed by2
members
of the Telford
and District ARS on September 24th.2008
Aims
To provide a D – Star repeater to serve Shropshire and the county borders.
To provide Amateur Radio repeater facilities with the latest technology both
local and International.
To provide communications and data transfer facilities to assist RAYNET and
the County Emergency Planning Officers during Emergencies.
This included vehicle location data.
Benefits of a D- Star digital repeater
Clearer digital audio, good coverage, links to other D-Star repeaters, connections via reflectors to D-Star
repeaters worldwide. Data transfer. GPS Position indication and forwarding (like APRS).
We have Audio repeaters, APRS, Data, GPS. All these are combined in D - Star Repeater
